This page contains a

The
Bible is the Word of God. We accept only those 39 books
of the Old Testament (Genesis-Malachi) and 27 books of
the New Testament (Matthew-Revelation) that the church
has universally accepted as Divinely inspired. (I
Corinthians 2:7-14, II Timothy 3:16, II
Peter 1:20-21)
The local church is
governed by godly men called elders (Titus 1:5-9)
The Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit are one God, (Matthew 28:19, John 14:16-26;
16:7-15)
Jesus
Christ in the flesh was both God and man. He was born of
a virgin and lived a sinless life in which He taught the
performed mighty works, wonders and signs. He was
crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was raised
from the dead on the third day. Later He ascended to the
Father's right hand where He is head of the church and
intercessor for believers. (Philippians 2:5-8, Luke
1:26-35, Peter 2:21-24, I Corinthians 15:3-5, Acts
1:9-11, Ephesians 1:18-23, I John 2:1-2, John 14:1-6)
The
Holy Spirit is the presence of God that indwells all by
promise, who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and
have been
immersed into Him (John 14:25-26; 16:8-15,
Romans 8:26-27, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 5:18,
I Corinthians
12:13, I John 2:20,27)
God,
because of His compelling love, sent His son Jesus as a
perfect sacrifice for our sins. Salvation-eternal life
is not something earned but is freely given to all who
believe and accept Christ on the terms that he has
revealed in the Bible.
Believer's
baptism is in water by immersion
only which we
understand to be for the forgiveness of sins and the
gift of the
Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-38, 8:26-39)
God
is the absolute sole center - that the universe and all
creation was brought into being by the "word of
God" (Genesis 1:1-2;25, John 1:1-4)
God,
because of His compelling love, sent his son Jesus
Christ into the world to save lost sinners by His
atoning death on Calvary (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 53:1-6,
Matthew 1:21,
John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 1:3-6)
The
existence of Heaven, an eternal home of the saved, and
the existence of Hell, the eternal place of punishment
by fire prepared for the devil and his wicked angels, is
literal (II Peter 3:7-10, Revelations 20:7-15, 21-22)
The
church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to save
the lost and edify the saved (Matthew 28:19-20,
Ephesians 4:1-16)
The
observance of the Lord's Supper is on the first day of
every week as did the early church (Acts 2:42, 20:7)
Jesus
Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as
King and Lord of all (Matthew 24:29-31, I Thessalonians
4:13-18, Revelations 1:7)
God's work should be
supported by tithes and offerings from cheerful hearts (Matthew
6:19-21, I Corinthians 16:1-2, II Corinthians 9:6-7) |
